Pink Ribbon The nonprofit organization and Walking.be raised a total of €51,558.41
From March through July, walkers could choose to support a good cause by participating in one of the Walking.be x Pink Ribbon walking events. By registering, a donation of €5 was automatically made to the nonprofit Pink Ribbon. In addition, many people raised extra funds to support the nonprofit.
Especially during the Longest Day Walk in Trois-Ponts, several teams committed to raising a significant amount of money. Among them was the team “Les Walking Women,” which raised no less than €3,774.52 for this walk. Their commitment began after the COVID-19 pandemic, when two friends from the group were affected by the disease. After their recovery, they continued walking to support research and patient care.
The proceeds from the four walks will go toward the projects of Pink Ribbon related to research, prevention, and patient care. With the funds raised, Pink Ribbon will be able to continue its mission to improve the treatment and detection of breast cancer in Belgium.
Meanwhile, the nonprofit continues to focus on walking and is launching the Pink March for the ... time during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Individuals, teams, and companies can all participate in this walking challenge and compete against each other to see who can take the most steps.
