Golfing with a pink goal in the National Ladies Golf Cup

In 2025, the very first edition was organized. And this was an instant hit. No fewer than 28 Belgian clubs participated and thus became founding clubs of this wonderful initiative. Throughout the year, each club organized its own Pink Ribbon competition. Thus a pink flurry swept over the various golf courses throughout the year. From each competition, the four winners advanced to the grand finals of the Pink Ribbon National Ladies Golf Cup.  

This project emphasizes raising funds for the fight against breast cancer. Each club came up with an action to contribute financially as well. Ranging from a tombola to a sale of second-hand clothing and much more. A total of 50,000 euros was collected. A beautiful final amount that will be used entirely for the distribution of the book Omhelzingen to breast cancer patients via the Belgian breast clinics.

Final

On Thursday, October 16, the time had come, the grand finale of the Pink Ribbon National Ladies Golf Cup 2025. It took place at the Royal Latem Golf Club. A total of 104 players competed against each other, all vying for that coveted trophy.

It turned out to be a fantastic day of golfing fun. In addition to the competition, there was also room for other activities. For example, supporters could participate in a putting contest or give their best in the hat contest.  

Golf Club de Naxhelet won the first edition and received the crystal trophy. In addition, Royal Golf Club Bercuit was awarded the prize for most generous club, shortly followed by Westgolf. In addition, the Gwen Klein Hat competition was won by a member of Royal Latem Golf Club, the host of the finals.

For this project, Pink Ribbon could once again count on the loyal support of partner Estée Lauder Companies. They made sure the golf players and supporters looked peaky via a lipstick touch up. They also donated generous prizes for the awards ceremony and raffle. These were received with much thanks by the deserving winners.

Edition 2026

Due to great success, Pink Ribbon is continuing this fantastic project and a second edition will be organized in 2026. A total of 40 Belgian golf clubs will participate. Once again, each club will organize its own competition from which the four winners will advance to the grand final. And that too is already scheduled, namely on Monday, October 12, 2026.
