Information about breast cancer

"The choice for Pink Ribbon obvious."

Katrien De Cannière, marketing manager at Mayerline: "The choice to support Pink Ribbon obvious." The renowned Belgian fashion label Mayerline has been a partner of Pink Ribbon since 2018. "Commercial companies sometimes underestimate the impact they can have on women with breast cancer," says Katrien De Cannière.

Mayerline makes clothes for mature women, women who are in the prime of life and don't always have the ideal figure. The brand combines style with comfort. "We want to bring out women's inner pride by dressing them beautifully and elegantly, so that they feel good about themselves," says Katrien De Cannière, marketing manager at Mayerline Brussels. In Mayerline stores, women are served by employees who ensure that their customers feel very welcome. "We pay a lot of attention to customer service. Here, we make time for every woman who walks in." Mayerline also pays the same attention to the needs of its largely female staff. "Breast cancer is also present in our company," she says. "When choosing a charity, Pink Ribbon was the Pink Ribbon choice."

National Ladies Golf Cup

Katrien De Cannière was impressed by the National Ladies Golf Cup, the first edition of which was organized in 2025. "During Pink Ribbon 's National Ladies Golf Cup, I really Pink Ribbon the warmth and cheerfulness of women who have gone through breast cancer or are committed to fighting the disease. They all looked so radiant in pink!" Mayerline provided prizes during the golf event. "I was there as a marketing manager, but I really enjoyed it personally. That's when I realized that as a commercial company, we have the privilege of being able to communicate with hundreds of thousands of women every day through our channels. We are not sufficiently aware of the impact we can have."

Pink Stories

For the Pink Stories series, the videos that Pink Ribbon had made Pink Ribbon 2025 featuring women with advanced breast cancer, the participants were allowed to choose an outfit at Mayerline. These videos also affected Katrien De Cannière more than she had expected. "We only do the outer layer, but that outer layer can make all the difference. One of the participants said that making herself look beautiful gave her a mental boost to get through the day. That made a big impression on me. It's wonderful to see the impact of feeling good by dressing beautifully, even when you're seriously ill." The Pink Stories with Albana Qehaja and Sofie Guns, both radiant in Mayerline outfits, gave not only these women a boost, but also Mayerline's marketing manager.

Other actions

It doesn't stop at sponsoring the Golf Cup or Pink Stories. Mayerline sells our ribbons in its stores, helped create the fluorescent ribbon last year, previously auctioned works of art to benefit Pink Ribbon, dresses witnesses, and also makes room for the stories of its own employees and their initiatives to support the fight against breast cancer.
