Michaël Smets (39) decided to become a Pink Ribbon walking coach in 2022. After a difficult period, he did this as a tribute to his late wife. If Michaël had to describe himself in three words, he would choose go-getter, righteous and altruistic. And that also translates into the best compliment he ever received: "You are unbreakable."

Province of Antwerp crowned Walking Champion 2025
At the provincial government building in Antwerp, Deputy Mireille Colson received the title and trophy of Walking Champion 2025. This took place on the occasion of the new edition of The Pink Walk, a walking challenge organized by Pink Ribbon . "This title is a wonderful recognition for the thousands of Antwerp residents who came together to exercise for a healthy cause. As a province, we can be truly proud that so many people are committed to breast cancer prevention and awareness," said the province.
