    Who is the walking coach?  

    "My name is Leen Goossens (63, or… let’s put it this way: 18 with 45 extra years of life experience). Coach, mom, entrepreneur… and above all, someone who knows what it feels like to lose your way for a moment."

    "After my own journey with breast cancer, I learned how important it is to slow down, listen to my feelings, and choose what truly feels right. Today, I support people who, just like I did back then, are searching for peace, direction, and confidence. I love having meaningful conversations, taking steps together (both literally and figuratively), and seeing people rediscover their strength."

    If she had to describe herself in three words, Leen would say she is warm, honest, and a team player.

    How often do we go hiking?  

    Leen meets with her group every Wednesday at 7 p.m. She also organizes a themed walk once a month on Sundays, to which partners are also welcome. 

    We always decide on the starting point together, and the walks are taken at a leisurely pace that suits the group. The distances will also be manageable for everyone and range from 4 to 6 km.

    "Everyone is welcome. Whether you're recovering, just need to recharge, or simply enjoy walking together. In my group, there are no 'musts,' only 'may's.' It's not about performance, but about enjoyment," Leen adds.

    What region are we hiking in?  

    Pink Power Walk - Sint-Trudo takes a walk in the greater Sint-Truiden area.

    Sien (25) is running 10 miles with Pink Ribbon for her grandmother: “She beat breast cancer, but the emotional toll took a heavy toll on her”

    This Sunday, paramedic Sien Vleugels (25) from Bocholt will be at the starting line of the 10 Miles race. She’s running with the Pink Ribbon team—the nonprofit organization fighting breast cancer—on behalf of all the patients she encounters every day. But her biggest motivation is her “grandma”: “Physically, the cancer went away, but mentally, the toll on her was overwhelming. Today, she has dementia. I’m running so that other patients can get the psychological help she could have used so badly.” Pink Ribbon already Pink Ribbon over 4,000 euros in donations.

    Team Alfaflex Group raised money while walking for the fight against breast cancer

    In May 2025, Alfaflex Group participated in The Pink Walk. For every kilometer covered, the company donated a contribution to Pink Ribbon. Thus, a total of no less than €736.10 was collected.
