Who is the walking coach?  

Anja Legiest (54) decided to become a Pink Ribbon walking coach in 2021. As an ex-breast cancer patient, she wants to offer support and help fellow sufferers move during and after their process. Non-patients are also welcome to join the Pink Ribbon Stappers. This coach knows better than anyone how important a healthy lifestyle is and therefore wants to promote walking to as many people as possible.

In three words, Anja would describe herself as empathetic, a mother hen, but above all, an enjoyer of life. The best compliment she ever received was "We draw on your positivism and zest for life."  

How often do we go hiking?  

Anja meets once a month, on Sundays, with her hiking group. Then they gather and cover a route of 5 to 6 kilometers, which amounts to about an hour and a half of walking. In addition, The Pink Ribbon Stappers also occasionally venture into walking trails of longer distances. Variety assured. 

What region are we hiking in?  

The Pink Ribbon Stappers walk in region Waasland: Hamme, Dendermonde, Zele, Lokeren and Waasmunster.
