Why does Aurubis support Pink Ribbon ?

Making breast cancer discussable in the workplace is something Aurubis holds dear. Although it is more of a men's industry, Aurubis insists on paying sufficient attention to it. Consequently, they have been loyal participants in Pink Monday since 2023.

With participation in Pink Monday will Aurubis:

• Raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer;

• show solidarity with (former) patients and their loved ones, both within and outside the company;

• take social responsibility by contributing to a socially relevant goal.

How does Aurubis celebrate Pink Monday ?

On the third Monday of January, traditionally known as 'Blue Monday', Aurubis makes this day a time of hope and connection. During Pink Monday the company organizes the following initiatives:

• Colleagues in pink: Employees wear pink clothing or accessories to show their support. Aurubis also distributes Pink Ribbon Ribbons are being presented among colleagues and visitors. Photos are being taken and shared on Aurubis Olen and Aurubis Beerse's social media channels.

• Sharing information and promoting a healthy lifestyle: Tips on healthy living and the nine warning signs of breast cancer are shared. All colleagues are treated to free "Pink Lady" apples.

• Gathering: A warm atmosphere is created on the work floor with attention to the theme.

One mixed team, one mission

At Aurubis Olen and Aurubis Beerse, they believe that health affects everyone. The company also wants to give both male and female colleagues the necessary attention for issues like breast cancer. Therefore, all employees are involved in Pink Monday , regardless of gender. This is a way to show that Aurubis is there for each other, even on sensitive topics.
