Carrefour Belgium, together with its customers, has once again shown solidarity in the fight against breast cancer. As lead partner of Pink Ribbon , the retail chain announced a total donation of €163,536 for the year 2025. This gesture confirms Carrefour's historic commitment as an inclusive player and key partner of Pink Ribbon since 2015.

Highlights of actions in 2025

The fundraiser was made possible thanks to the involvement of customers and employees through various initiatives:

  • Solidarity Rounding: By generously rounding the purchase amount on the checkout receipt to the nearest euro, customers have combined €114,020
  • Paper bags: Proceeds from paper bags sold in the store during the month of October were donated, adding €34,000 to the endowment.
  • Sale of items: Specific items such as underwear, bananas and Pink Ribbon ballpoint pens also contributed to the collection by adding just over €13,900 to the total.
  • Internal involvement: Carrefour encourages its employees to get involved by paying their registration fees for the Pink March.

Ten years of committed partnership

By taking these various actions, Carrefour Belgium and its customers are showing that even small gestures can make a big difference. Since 2015, Carrefour has donated more than €1,700,000 to Pink Ribbon.

"The success of these initiatives rests as much on the commitment of employees as on the generosity of customers. Together they form a collective force to fight breast cancer. We are enormously grateful to Carrefour Belgium, its employees and its customers for their commitment and solidarity, which allows Pink Ribbon to continue its awareness and prevention actions. In particular, the funds enable us to promote early detection and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families," stressed Anne Soenen, Secretary General of Pink Ribbon.
