Hiking Flanders

Wandelsport Vlaanderen vzw is a federation that manages and promotes hiking in Flanders. Its mission? To get as many people as possible to exercise and to do so in a socially and socially responsible way. The non-profit organization knows better than anyone how important exercise is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Especially in the context of prevention for breast cancer.

To get as many people walking as possible, Pink Ribbon established several walking groups. Each group is accompanied by a Pinky Pioneer or walking coach. To train these people to become well-prepared coaches, Pink Ribbon was able to call on Wandelsport Vlaanderen. Through the 'Start 2 Coach' training, some 20 ladies were prepared to become walking coaches and Pink Ribbon.

Since 2023, Pink Ribbon has had a standing appointment with Wandelsport Vlaanderen in Maasmechelen. Then the two non-profit organizations will jointly organize the Walk for Pink Ribbon. The walking event takes place in Hoge Kempen National Park and offers routes from 3 to 34 kilometers. Thanks to the support of Wandelsport Vlaanderen, the Walk for Pink Ribbon is an event with a growing success. In 2025, as many as 2,700 walkers participated. We are already curious to see if this number of participants will be exceeded on May 25, 2026.

With an eye toward getting enough exercise, Pink Ribbon also organizes The Pink Walk twice a year . This is a walking challenge in which you have to take as many steps as possible every day. Wandelsport Vlaanderen is also a loyal partner in this project, activating its target group and supporting the communication campaign.
