Carrefour Belgium: a dedicated and sustainable partner of Pink Ribbon
With more than 700 stores in Belgium, Carrefour is a major player in wholesale distribution. But the brand does not limit itself to offering a wide choice of products: for 10 years it has supported Pink Ribbon in the fight against breast cancer. Employees, customers and suppliers are committed together.
A sustainable commitment
Every year Carrefour organizes concrete solidarity actions in its stores: temporary sales of limited edition products, Pink Ribbon and bracelets, Papillons bananas, lingerie actions or even Solidarity Rounding.
Thanks to these initiatives, more than 1.5 million euros have already been raised for Pink Ribbon, representing nearly a quarter of the association's total funds since 2015.
Anne Soenen, secretary general of Pink Ribbon, explains the impact of this support:
"Thanks to the funds raised by Carrefour, Pink Ribbon can actively invest in awareness and prevention. The reach is huge: more than 700 stores where cashiers talk to customers every day about breast cancer. "
10 years of partnership
The partnership began in 2015, when Carrefour employees participated in the 20 km of Brussels to raise money for Pink Ribbon. Since then, the commitment has only grown, among employees as well as customers and suppliers.
In 2025, in honor of 10 years of partnership, Carrefour will launch new limited-edition products in addition to its main actions. These campaigns fund essential projects, such as the Breast Cancer Knowledge Center or the online prevention tool Mammoquiz.
The success of this partnership owes as much to the commitment of employees as to the generosity of customers, who participate in solidarity rounds at the checkout every year.
