First edition National Ladies Golf Cup raises €52,495 for the fight against breast cancer

In 2025, Pink Ribbon organized the very first edition of the National Ladies Golf Cup. A project that combines golfing fun with raising money for charity. This year, 28 Belgian golf clubs participated and each organized a pink Pink Ribbon. The result: a total of €52,495 for the fight against breast cancer.

Did you know that a 9-hole round of golf is equivalent to 10,000 steps? For exactly that reason, the Pink Ribbon created the National Ladies Golf Cup. The very first edition was organized in 2025. And this was an instant hit. No fewer than 28 Belgian clubs participated and are thus founding clubs of this wonderful initiative. Throughout the year, each club organized its own competition on the theme of Pink Ribbon. Thus a pink flurry swept over the various golf courses throughout the year. From each competition, the four winners advanced to the grand finals.

It took place on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Royal Latem Golf Club. A total of no less than 104 players competed against each other, all vying for that coveted trophy. Thanks to the support of loyal partner Estée Lauder Companies, the winners were rewarded with wonderful prizes. The winner of the first edition is the Golf Club de Naxhelet.

This project emphasizes raising funds for the fight against breast cancer. Each club came up with an action to contribute financially as well. Ranging from a tombola to a sale of second-hand clothing and much more. A total of 52,495 euros was collected. A beautiful final amount that will be used entirely for the distribution of the book Omhelzingen to breast cancer patients via the Belgian breast clinics.

Edition 2026

Due to great success, Pink Ribbon is continuing this fantastic project and a second edition will be organized in 2026. A total of 36 Belgian golf clubs will participate. Once again, each club will organize its own competition, with the four winners advancing to the grand final. And that too is already scheduled, namely on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
